Gail Benick is a writer and educator.. Her debut novel, The Girl Who Was Born That Way, was published by Inanna Publications and Education in 2015. Benick earned ann M. Phil. from the City University of New York and an M.Ed. from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto. She was a professor in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario where she offered a variety of courses on migration and the immigrant experience.
