Nellie P. Strowbridge was created and birthed above the cliffs of Newfoundland's East Coast. For seven years she was a newspaper and magazine columnist(She was Newfoundland's first advice columnist). She has been published in several Educational School Publications and anthologies including the Sandberg-Livesay Anthology Sing for the Inner Ear. She has been interviewed on television several times and has often read her work on radio programs. Her poem "The Fisherman's Wife" has been published nine times and used as part of a play performed at Grenfell College. Strowbridge has read in venues from Canada to Ireland. She read at the Canadian Embassy in Dublin, and hosted Gabfest for International Women's Day in Cobh where she was the writer in residence. She is often an adjudicator for contests and grant awards. She is presently working on two novels.
