Nicola Winstanley is the author of  five picture books, including How To Give Your Cat a Bath in Five Easy Steps, nominated for the Governor General's Award in 2019, and Cinnamon Baby, shortlisted for the TD Picture Book Award and recipient of an honor prize for the Ezra Jack Keats Award. Nicola has also published poetry, comix and fiction for adults in various literary journals in Canada and teaches learning skills and scriptwriting at Humber College in Toronto. Originally from New Zealand, Nicola lives in Hamilton with her husband, two children, two cats and tiny dog, preposterously called Blueberry Fang Whitepaw.
