Susan Chapman has been a teacher-librarian and a primary teacher in Toronto and in Markham, Ontario. She has also taught teacher-librarians in East Africa, and worked for a summer in the library in Harrods Dept. Store in London, England. She was inspired to write TOO MUCH NOISE IN THE LIBRARY when she was a busy librarian, and found herself bellowing, “There’s too much noise in the library!” Then she remembered the old folktale that she had often told the students.
