When he was three, Tim ran away from home with a tea cozy on his head. That was in Cheshire, England. He ended up in Kitimat, B.C. He is not sure if these incidents are connected, but he believes fervently that if one is going to become a writer one should keep one's head warm. Tim has written twenty-two books, a dozen radio plays, the book and libretto for an opera, the book and lyrics for a musical, and lots of songs for his band, Louis the Dreamer. He lives on 76 acres of bush in Eastern Ontario with Amanda Lewis, their three children and a number of cats.
