Caroline Pignat is the two-time Governor Generalʼs Award winning author of seven highly acclaimed novels. She writes contemporary YA, historical fiction, and free verse novels that dig into her characters through multiple forms and points of view. Back in high school, Caroline wrote a short story that years later became her novel Greener Grass, winner the 2009 Governor General’s Award for Children’s Literature. The Gospel Truth won her a second Governor General’s Award in 2015. With over 20 years experience as a teacher and author, Caroline continues to teach and explore the craft through her Writing Classes, Author Visits, and current work-in-progress. Born in Ireland and raised in Ottawa, she lives and teaches in Kanata, Ontario.
